The message below is applicable to all who wish to apply for any E-Rate on their own for Funding Year 2023 (meaning filing for E-Rate for products and services other than those that Networkmaine provides its members):
The deadline to file an FY2023 Form 470 is fast approaching.
E-Rate applicants cannot receive any E-Rate funding without (1) a Form 470 to launch the competitive bidding process for an eligible product or service followed by (2) a Form 471 filed no earlier than 28 days later to request E-Rate discounts to offset a portion of the costs for that product or service.
The last day that you can file a Form 470 and leave yourself enough time to wait 28 days before signing a contract and still be able to file a Form 471 before the Form 471 filing window closes is February 28.
Do not wait until the last minute! Allow yourself as much time as possible to file your Form 471.
