Greetings, Colleagues,Maine GEAR UP did not receive “down the slate” funding and we are devastated. I just got off an interview with Robbie Feinberg from Maine Public. Look for a story today or tomorrow.Debbie--Good morning Maine TRIO and GEAR-UP,I hope you all had lovely summers and are having a positive start to the new academic year! I know a lot of folks are quite busy, so I'll keep this message to the point.I'd like to introduce Terry Charlton, our new MEEOA President and Katharine Lualdi who is our President-Elect! Terry will be taking over the reigns at this point as I take a step back as Past-President and focus on filling our board positions. On that note....We are looking to fill a few positions and add to committees! Our treasurer, Nik Lallemand, is stepping back this year and is also happy to help train our new treasurer. If you have an interest/skill in finance or using spreadsheets, this might be the right position for you! If you are looking for more information about the responsibilities, please reach out to Nik for more information at [log in to unmask]We are also hoping to find a whole committee for our Factbook (due date March 1st). If you are someone who has an interest/skill in collecting data, making visuals, and organizing information...this might be the right committee to join! Finally, we are hoping to add folks to most of our committees, but especially the alumni and development committees. If you have an interest in working with alumni or the donations crew, these roles might be a good fit for you! The fun thing about a committee is you can choose how much work to take on since there are others to share the workload :)If you have any interest in any of these roles/positions, please reach out to me and we can chat more! Thanks all,
