Permanent Full-time Position and 120-Day Detail/Temporary Promotion
Duty Station: Mendon, VT

The Green Mountain & Finger Lakes (GMFL) National Forests are seeking a candidate to fill a 120-day detail/temporary promotion and a permanent position as a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Specialist in Mendon, VT.  While the permanent position will be stationed in Mendon, VT, the detail/temporary position will be performed remotely.  This position is part of a small team in the GMFL Supervisor's Office providing Forests-wide GIS and information management support through geospatial data creation, analysis and management, map production, and technical support using ESRI's ArcGIS Pro platform and Oracle/PostgreSQL databases.  The GIS Specialist would assist the Forest's three Districts and Natural Resources, Planning, Engineering, and Recreation Programs in the development and implementation of mobile and web-based GIS workflows (e.g. Survey123, Field Maps, ArcGIS Online,), as well as in the more traditional GIS work of data management, preparation and analysis, modeling, and cartography.
