N.B. - The Maine Office of GIS doesn't appear to be offering cemetery data any longer from its data catalog. Also, GNIS no longer includes administrative features like cemeteries, and that updates to names/locations are out of USGS's hands. Many thanks to Debi Curry of the Maine Old Cemetery Association for her sleuthing, the file https://www.maine.gov/megis/catalog/kml/state/cemeteries.kmz was found. It contains additional cemeteries than what is found within the file https://geonames.usgs.gov/docs/stategaz/ME_Features.zip - Please note that while this data may be appropriate to share with researchers, it is with the caveat that the information was chiefly collected between 1978-2013
