UPCOMING UMM GIS COURSES
Summer 2022:
GIS 204 Intro to Satellite Positioning and Navigation Systems (GPS, GNSS and field mapping) Hybrid with two weeks of online asynchronous instruction and field activities done on your own 7/18 to 7/29 PLUS a required on-campus weekend 7/30 and 7/31. Students may reserve a room in the residence halls for that weekend for a small fee.
Fall 2022:
GIS 300 GIS I / ANT 521:
Online with
OPTIONAL weekly lectures TuTh 9AM - 10:20PM
PLUS three
REQUIRED live sessions, as follows:
- Synchronous for lab section 62699: Saturdays Sep 3, Oct 22 and Dec 3 from 10:00am to 11:50apm
- Synchronous for lab section 62698: Wednesdays Sep 7, Oc 26 and Dec 7 from 6:00pm to 7:50pm
- Synchronous sessions for graduates: To be arranged to work with student schedules.
GIS 400 / ANT 522 GIS II (spatial analysis, spatial stats & spatial estimation). All online with OPTIONAL weekly lectures MoFr 11AM - 12:20AM.
GIS 420 Remote Sensing and Image Analysis (remote sensing interpretation and analysis for environmental, municipal and coastal applications). All online with weekly required synchronous sessions Thursdays 5:30 to 7:20pm
