We are hiring a spring-summer seasonal cartographic technician for the data management team at the Northern Great Plains I&M Network in Rapid City, SD. This job should run from late February to August (exact dates TBD - not to exceed 1039 hours).


The GS-7 Cartographic Technician position is open now (12/2/2021) through next Tuesday (12/7/2020) - or the first 100 applications.  Major projects for the summer include maintaining an ArcGIS Online and Field Maps-based field data collection system and providing support for users, ongoing GIS data reorganization, and working on scripted tools for data maintenance and quality control.  This technician will also provide maps and data management support for monitoring projects and ecologists. This is an office job; limited fieldwork may be available with bat and prairie dog monitoring, and with GPS system testing.
