Thanks everyone, for your input, I really appreciate it!
I should have asked y'all earlier in my search.
I ended up getting a Honda Fit. Not hybrid but decent on gas compared to my
old Volvo 240 wagon!
As I said, I bet I'll join your ranks down the road--hopefully this car
lasts me a good while in the meantime :)
