*What is happening?*
On Sunday morning maintenance will be performed on the Single Sign On
system to apply software updates.

*How long will it take?*
The downtime is expected to be 30 minutes or less, most likely near the
start of the window.

*Why is this work necessary?*

   - New core software updates have become available. Getting software
   updates applied to systems in a timely manner protects all members of the
   UMS community.


*What happens if the work is not successful?*
If the server does not resume normal SSO processes on its own within a
reasonable period of time then staff will troubleshoot it.
