With change comes opportunity and I know that your next chapter will be good for you, even as it is hard to say goodbye. Over the years, TRIO and your students have benefitted from your experience and dedication and I am sure that your new endeavors will touch many new people.

After much soul searching, it is with a heavy heart that I’ve decided to leave the TRIO community. As some may know, I’ve been with UMPI’s TRIO Upward Bound Program for fourteen years! Being a TRIO alumnus and having the ability to work with our TRIO students shaped me into who I am and will continue to as I venture into my next adventure. 

 

I will cherish the memories I’ve had with you! The professional development opportunities, playing an integral role in the various MEEOA committees was a great opportunity to get to know you, not only professionally, but personally as well.

 

Although excited and ready to move forward it’s important for me to recognize how my time with TRIO afforded me the opportunity to grow and prepare me for the next chapter in my life.

 

The importance of TRIO is undeniable! The relationships we have, not only with our students, but with one another are so important! My next adventure will afford me the opportunity to stay connected with high school students and UMPI’s TRIO Programs – so not all is lost! Our paths will cross again!

 

With much appreciation, respect, and gratitude, this is not goodbye! TRIO Works will always be my motto!
