I have to say that 25 years ago tomorrow was a tragic incident in Cincinnati that arguably... and correctly... overshadows any sports moments of the year. That is the sudden death of umpire John mcSherry at the start of the opening day Reds-Expos game at Riverfront stadium. I apologize if this mention is off-topic but it is only done in comparison.

What I remember is that we had a short time for the Hockey-L Banquet.  There were some who hustled to get back for a game that was already delayed.  I could have used that hour with conversation and beer instead of a dry college stadium.
