MSAD 55 is seeking to hire a Technology Director to lead our team in supporting students and staff in their use of instructional and informational technology. The ideal candidate will have: • Minimum five years combined experience in teaching and/or administrative/management experience within informational technology or instructional technology. • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university (Master’s degree preferred). • Ability to design, development, and implement technology hardware/software and infrastructure systems. • Ability to configure and maintain various applications including student Information systems (Infinite Campus), various applications for grading modules and special education requirements, district financial software (ADS), school lunch system (NutriKids), phone message and voicemail system (Avaya), and Google. • Ability to install, integrate, configure, and maintain (including problem diagnosis and repair) all wired and wireless infrastructure components including, but not limited to, switches, servers, routers, access points, IP cameras, and VoIP devices. • Knowledge of internet filtering management and maintenance. • Ability to oversee multiple tasks, prioritize, and exercise good judgement under pressure. • Excellent organizational and decision making skills with flexibility of working in group settings as well as completing assignments independently. • Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all staff and community members. • Have a current and Criminal History Records Check from the Maine Department of Education and relevant educational certification preferred.
