*What is happening?* The UMS Shibboleth SSO server system will experience a short outage while the system is updated. For most users the testing will be non-disruptive, some users may be unable to log in to enterprise applications while switching to the standby server. During this work, there may be issues logging into Box, Zoom, and other SAML or InCommon services. This maintenance work will not impact access to GMail or other services using the CAS protocol for single sign-on. *Why is it necessary?* The update will allow UMS to support the release of additional privacy preserving attributes in the shibboleth SSO environment. *When will it happen?* Sunday, September 13, 5:00-7:00am - There will be a brief outage while switching to the standby server.
