We use Audible at MDIHS. I can't remember how we manage it, but our reading teacher uses it a lot.How would Audible work for students? I had a teacher who wanted to download a book for students (buy it with district funds and “gift” it to their account), but since Audible is Amazon, you had to be over 18 to have your own account. I know a lot of kids probably have access to an Amazon account, but it wasn’t something we could step in and make for those who didn’t have one…

Our school has a subscription to CloudLibrary, and students can check out audiobooks and ebooks. Overdrive is another option, but I think most Maine libraries are using CloudLibrary now.

Haven't used Audible myself at schools, but Epic! is good for lots of books, some read aloud, some audio books without texts, some just texts. It's free and is expanding its collection with many more middle school appropriate books.
