As early as tomorrow, the House of Representatives will vote on the American Dream and Promise Act of 2019 (H.R. 6), a bill that will offer protections for Dreamers and also allow them to earn lawful permanent residence in the United States and a path towards citizenship. H.R. 6 is the latest version of the Dream Act, which has been introduced in nearly every Congress since 2001. I know many of you strongly support efforts to help these young people, many of whom are enrolled in the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. If you are interested in seeing this bill passed, I encourage you to personally contact your House Representative today.
