*What is happening? * On Wednesday, January 23, 2019, from 5 a.m. - 6 a.m., US:IT Staff will be performing emergency maintenance on a portion of the UMS Single Sign-On system. The actual downtime during the maintenance window is expected to be less than 15 minutes, with the remainder of the time being reserved for testing and verification to ensure that the change is successful. During this work, there may be issues logging into Box, Zoom, and other SAML or InCommon services. * Existing sessions to these applications should not be disrupted. In addition, this maintenance work will not impact access to Blackboard, GMail, MaineStreet, MyCampus Portal or other services using the CAS protocol for single sign-on.* *Why is this work necessary? * Our vendor has notified us of a critical configuration issue in their software and strongly encouraged customers to apply a patch to correct the issue. *What happens if the work is not successful? * If there are issues with Single Sign-On after the patch is applied, we will revert back to the current configuration and contact the vendor for an alternate solution. If you experience any issues with the UMS Single Sign-On system after the upgrade, please clear your browser cache and try again.
