The first funding wave of 2018 was released today!!! And even better, some of you were in it!

In a good news, bad news situation, USAC has completely revamped its Funding Commitment Decision Letter (FCDL) delivery system.

The good news is that FCDLs are now being emailed as a detailed and informative PDF attachment - no need to login into EPC, no need to generate the notification before you can see the letter, and no need to struggle with the csv file (which is also still being created in case you want to go old school).

The bad news is that the email from USAC will only be going to the certifier of the Form 471 rather than the contact person who was listed. That may not affect some of you if you happen to perform both roles, but be aware that you will not receive the email if you are only the contact person. Certifiers - you may want to make a note to forward FCDL emails to the contact person.

The awesome news is that I will keep on sending an email to both the certifier and the contact of every Form 471 in each wave with full instructions for collecting the FCDL in EPC. For a preview of coming attractions, those instructions are attached.
