Unity College, Maine  8-week online summer course 3 CR /4.5 CEUs

This is an introductory course with no previous experience with drones needed.  

  • How can the use of drones advance the ability to make informed decisions about our environment? 
  • What are the requirements to use drones legally in the National Airspace and become a certified drone pilot?
  • How will this exponentially growing industry fare in the future? 
This course will investigate these questions and more.
It will provide an opportunity to investigate drone use in multiple environmental disciplines (industry applications available for professional development students) 

It will also provide students with detailed knowledge of FAA rules and regulations and get students flying safely and legally. It will provide hands on training in mission planning, policies and procedures, and drone flight missions.
