The Asa C. Adams Student Council is organizing this activity.  I am the advisor of this group.  We have researched fundraising activities for elementary students and there are pros and cons to each method.  This was chosen because https://funds2orgs.com/ is accredited by the Better Business Bureau, students weren't selling anything, it was more likely that every student could participate, there was a high return directly to the cause rather than overhead, and the shoes were not just put in the landfill.  Based on the information that I have received from Funds2Orgs, they appear to be using best practices with the shoes.

We hope that you or your organization can make a commitment to support our efforts to help an Orono family purchase a wheelchair lift vehicle.  Our goal is to collect 100 bags of 25 shoes each.
