Fun and fast-paced!Special Recognition:Awards Banquet: Tuesday, November 7th / 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.Find out this year’s recipient of the prestigious Peter S. Thacher Award!The Thacher Award is a memorial to Peter Shaw Thacher of Stonington, Connecticut. Mr. Thacher, a retired diplomat with the United Nations, and Distinguished Fellow with the World Resources Institute, lived the phrase "Think Global, Act Local." He was an active member of NEARC and an outspoken advocate for GIS. The award recognizes individuals who have demonstrated commitment and excellence in using Geographic Information System Technology to achieve success in natural resource management and conservation at the local level. This year is no exception and will be presented to a deserving individual who happens to be one of the founding members of NEARC from 1986.Esri:Esri Collaboration Center & Hands-on Learning Lab will provide instruction and hands-on exercises using the latest software available. NEW THIS YEAR: The Collaboration Center has been repurposed to include specific presentations during scheduled timeslots. Otherwise the center is “open” for users to drop-in and meet with Esri staff to answer questions/receive additional information on workflows and implementations.The “Solutions Showcase” portion will be as follows:

Eats & Treats:The Full Conference Registration fee includes a number of meals and refreshments with many opportunities for socializing and networking, including: daily coffee breaks, the Vendor Reception & Poster Social on Monday, Awards Banquet on Tuesday, Continental Breakfast on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, as well as Lunch on Monday and Tuesday. The breakfasts and lunches will be held in the Atrium for all attendees and vendors to take advantage of casual, social time and share food and conversation.
