Well, as an RPI grad, I care. As a lurking one of the 286 subscribers, I probably won't say any anything. :)

While I haven't met many of you, joining this  list back in 1992/1993 was a godsend. After moving back home to the college hockey starved Washington DC area, Hockey-L was the only way I could keep track of what was going on in the college hockey world. That has obviously changed with the explosion of the Internet and, even better, the boom in hockey in the DC area has created a real demand for the sport.

I interacted with Wayne a couple of times via email and could tell he really cared about this community. You could just tell he was a really nice guy from the tone of his emails. I'm sadden by the news.

As we like to say, here is the obligatory hockey comment:
RPI/Clarkson game is being telecast in Arlington, VA. Given RPI's season, it may not be much of a game but hey, it's a chance to watch college hockey. If there are any RPI or Clarkson grads on this list, maybe I'll see you there.

RPI odds:  sorry Tony. Other than the two of us, no one else cared what RPI does the rest of the season.  They are doing so bad, they might not make the ECAC playoffs, even though everyone makes the playoffs.

I'm used to "wait till next year" but not before January 1.

I have a daughter who is on it constantly and what a waste of time, like who wants to know you are going to the drug store to pick up a prescription!  If we want to see our grandkids pics, then our daughter sends them in an email. Talk about old fashioned.
