I am likewise still here. After being fairly active with comments from Ithaca in the early days, Hockey-L became my great lifeline to the games I treasured when our first move took us to Tulsa in the pre-www days. The link in the article about Wayne's passing to the archives lead me to read some posts I had made over the years. One from 12 or 13 years ago stood out. When my now 6' tall son was a little guy waving at players during warm ups for a tournament in Dayton, I noted in that post my thanks to a USAFA player who waved back to David and then tossed him a puck, making his day. This is just one example of why the college hockey community is such a good group of people to engage (whether as a lurker or a more active participant). Thanks to Wayne for his stewardship of the list and may he Rest in Peace. William Sangrey Let's Go Red!!! Cornell '87&'94 P.S. My H-L shirts still fit, but my son thinks the "bit-net" on the logo is archaic. Got to get that kid off my lawn! -----Original Message----- From: Adam Wodon <[log in to unmask]> To: Hockey-L <[log in to unmask]> Sent: Thu, Jan 5, 2017 9:28 pm Subject: Re: Hockey-L now has 286 subscribers FYI - I'm already in the process of scraping all of the HTML of each individual message and storing each one as a file on CHN's server. Not the same as an actual archive, but it's something just in case. Adam W.
