Join national thought leader Joe Minicozzi to learn about methods for making a preliminary analysis of municipal value and cost per acre or per capita, based on tax revenues and costs for delivering municipal services and maintaining municipal infrastructure, as well as the potential for this methodology to ensure that policy and regulatory decision-makers more accurately understand where a town or city gains the most from existing and potential real estate investments.
The workshop will provide participants with practical tools to be able to do a preliminary analysis of municipal value and cost per acre or per capita as appropriate. A focus of the workshop will also be to provide guidance on how to present the data
– how to tell the story – in a way that in accessible and persuasive. Examples from Maine communities will be used to help ground the information in the reality of our local context.
