Free entertainment for kids of all ages: stop by to watch the big machines and construction in progress in our backyard!  Watch from our windows or bring a chair and a snack to sit outside and view the action as the Village Green takes shape.  It’s very exciting to see.

 

It’s not too late to participate in our Summer 2016 Independent Reading Challenges. You can pick up materials at the library and start reading to earn free books and a chance to win a grand prize in August. 

 

Next week in the Children’s Department we’ll have:

 

Tuesday, June 28, 1:30pm, Ready,Set, Go Summer Activity Afternoon

Stories and activities designed to entertain children in grades K-3, but all ages welcome.  Meet in our community room. 

 

Wednesday, June 29, Tabletop Gaming for Teens, 3:30-6:30pm

Game time with friends in the community room for 4th through 10th graders.  Popcorn will be served. 

 

Thursday, June 30, Children’s Story Times @ 10:15 & 11am

Sunshine Story Time at 10:15 for little ones and their grownups, with songs, stories and finger plays.

Once Upon a Time….Stories at 11:00.  Longer stories for engaged listeners.

 

Thursday, June 30, Tabletop Gaming for all ages, 5-9pm

All ages and all gaming levels are welcome to play tabletop games.  Teresa Cassinelli (Gaming Extraordinaire and one of our Teen Gaming hosts) hosts the program!  We have a good supply of games, but feel free to bring some of your own if you like.

 

Don’t forget that our hours have changed.

We now open at noon on Wednesdays and close at 5 on Thursdays.
