Dear all,

Blue Marble Geographics is hosting its annual Blue Marble User Conference next week on Tuesday, March 29th from 9-4. This annual event brings together Blue Marble software users from a wide variety of business sectors and industries as well as representatives from local and state government and academia. Attendees will have an opportunity to to see demonstrations of the latest features and functions in Global Mapper and Geographic Calculator software; to hear from interesting and innovative users of Blue Marble's geospatial tools; to pick up useful tips and tricks for optimizing the application of both Global Mapper and Geographic Calculator; and to participate in the ongoing collaborative development process by providing feedback and requests to the Blue Marble team. Many folks we have met in Massachusetts are also interested in learning how to leverage LiDAR data and Global Mapper is a great low cost tool for that challenge. We know you'll find our demonstration very useful if that is of interest to you.

The agenda for the meeting includes presentations from Pictometry on the integration of Global Mapper into the company’s aerial imagery processing workflow and from GEO1 on the GeoLook, a custom video extension for Global Mapper.

Jenn Kerry, Geomatics Trainer, joined Pictometry's team in 2013 as a Geomatics Specialist and is now a Geomatics Trainer. Matthew Peloquin, Photogrammetric Trainer, works exclusively on their high-end AccuPLUS product.  As trainers in Geomatics, Matthew and Jenn provide technical support and continuing education as well as process improvement implementation by testing and troubleshooting software and workflows for the group.

Ron Chapple, CEO of GEO1, the Aerial Survey Division of Aerial Filmworks, evolved into aerial sensing and survey from the aerial videography world. Ron's extensive background in photography and cinema, combined with a passion for technology and desire for innovative solutions, provided the framework for developing a new approach to use of airborne video for corridor surveillance.

Representatives from Blue Marble will be on hand to demonstrate recent developments in the company’s software tools as well as to answer questions and offer suggestions for optimizing workflow.
