We make the students return a signed permission slip (from a parent or guardian) in order to bring the laptop home for the week-long breaks. No slip, can't bring home. A growing number are deciding to leave at school, it seems.

Ours stay at school for the holiday, February and April breaks. It gives the parents a break and keeps the devices from traveling too much.

Hi, all-

We were wondering if any of you who work in Middle Schools around the State allow your 7th and 8th graders take their laptops home during holiday school breaks, or if they have to leave them at school?

It was a topic that came up in one of our staff meetings.  We have no current stand on this, but I told our Principal I would ask the experts.

Thanks in advance!
