Good Morning Again!!
The Geospatial Data Act of 2015 has been published and is available for download or viewing on the web.
It doesn’t have funding attached to the Bill but it does direct federal agencies to include geospatial data as a line item in their budgets!
BUDGET SUBMISSION.—Each
covered agency shall include geospatial data as a capital asset for purposes of preparing the budget submission of the President under section 1105(a) of title 31, United States Code (including for purposes of the information required under submissions under
exhibits and 300 of Office of Management and Budget Circular A–11, relating to planning, budgeting, acquisition, and management of major information technology capital investments, or any successor there to).
You can get the full language of the act here.
