Good Morning all,

 

I found this in the GIS Café this morning. “The Future of How Infrastructure is Made: Systems That Serve an Evolving Society” GIS is never mentioned but this 12 minute video clearly shows the power and foundational role GIS and Cad systems play in decision making for building out our physical infrastructure.

 

What may be less clear is the need for current imagery, elevation and other fundamental geospatial data sets. Our political and private sector leaders are making important decisions with long term impacts, poor data will lead to flawed decisions and potential long term economic impacts.
