Good Morning All,

The GeoLibrary is responsible for coordinating GeoSpatial data acquisition, reducing redundant acquisition and helping users save money on data acquisition. As part of this ongoing work it has partnered with other GIS interests to hold listening sessions with GIS stakeholders and users to learn what the geospatial needs of the Maine GIS community are. So far, three have been scheduled.

The first session is focused on the unorganized territories and is being sponsored by the Cooperative Forestry Research Unit at Nutting Hall on the Orono, Campus of the University of Maine on December 3rd. If you would like to listen in on this session there will be an Adobe Connect link as well as a conference call for audio.

Use this link for the remote webinar: https://meet.maine.edu/geolibrary/

Conference call: (605) 562-3130

Participant code: 386924#

The next two sessions will focus on municipal and county governments. The first session is being sponsored by Cumberland County (December 11) and will be held at the Cumberland County Court House in the Feeney Room, the second will be sponsored by the City of Bangor (December 18) and will be held in the City Hall Council chambers.

Draft agendas are posted on the GeoLibrary meeting page.

If you have any questions please contact me.
