So I am presuming they use Scratch for part of the year in their regular computer curriculum?
We don't have a computer class any more. We stopped it after they had the MLTI program for a few years. They didn't seem to need a formal class. But now there is no where to do the programming.
We have a 3-5 program and our teacher uses all the code.org stuff, codestudio, and ComputerCraft Edu (programming in the minecraft world).

Here at Cape Elizabeth Middle School we have coding classes as part of our Computer (Allied Arts) curriculum for 5-8, as well as a before and after school program. The computer teacher uses Scratch for creating games.
You can contact me off-list for more info, or for our Computer teacher's contact information.

We have the resources. And our computer tech elementary teacher went to Vegas and is offering workshops for Code.org. That is not the issue.
I am just wondering how many schools have coding or programming classes at the middle school level. It looks like Saco has some.
We are thinking of starting a program.
Do you have like classes or a special program of some sort? We don't want just an after school thing. It is a big push at the district level.

Yes, we use that at the elementary school and we used it last year at MS just during week of code. Admin is evaluating if we should have a programming curriculum  k-12. We don't have much at the HS, just one class at the moment.

We are looking at having coding classes at the MS and I was wondering if anyone else is doing something like that.
