Some upcoming October E-Rate deadlines:

1. Last Year wrap-up (FY2013-2014)

File any outstanding BEARs to request reimbursement for 2013-2014 products and services.
(deadline October 28, 2014)

Under the new Modernization Order, applicants may request, and USAC will automatically grant, a one-time 120-day extension of the invoicing deadline which would move that deadline to February 25, 2015. You must ask for the extension prior to the deadline.


2. Current Year (FY2014-2015)

If you have received a Funding Commitment Decision Letter (FCDL):

     - File a Form 486 to indicate the start of 2014-2015 services. The deadline for this is 120 days after the start of services or the date of the FDCL, whichever is later.
       (deadline October 29, 2014 if your FCDL is dated July 1 or earlier)
       (deadline 120 days after the date of the FCDL if dated after July 1)

     - After the Form 486 is filed, you can file BEARs to request reimbursement for 2014-2015 products and services.       
       (deadline October 28, 2015)

If you have not received a FCDL, address any PIA questions as they arrive and wait for a funding decision.
