Might it be possible for somebody to send a link to a map as to where exactly we're to arrive at? I've been there before and have an idea where it might be held, but the campus is large and disjointed.

Hey everyone,

Just a reminder that the Maine GIS User’s Group annual big event next weekMonday Sept 8 in Winter Harbor.  This is our “Back To School” which is explicitly designed as training for GIS users and professionals.  We have a great lineup this year with four GIS workshops available in two tracks:

Remote sensing and raster analysis – Frank Obusek of Hexagon Geospatial (think ERDAS Imagine)

Principles of Geodesy – Sam Knight of Blue Marble Geographics

Geodata Management – Jim McAbee of Esri (Jim is my geodata guru!)

Open geodata – Jaques Tardie of Open StreetMap

Each workshop is 2.5 hours, with plenty of time to interact with the presenters, and each session qualifies for CEUs towards your GISP or other professional certification.

On top of all that, the location this year will be fabulous, at the Schoodic Institute in Winter Harbor, and we will again have a lobster bake lunch/social.

Still time to register, and at $50 for MEGUG members this is a bargain!

Register at the MEGUG website www.megug.org
