Hi everyone,
The Maine Office of GIS is in the process of upgrading its ArcGIS Server equipment and at the same time, finalizing the transition from E911 data to NG911 data (E911 data now being almost a year old with no updates – they have all gone
into NG911 data).
To that end, the existing E911 geocoders will be turned off at the end of this month, March 31st. Their replacements are already online and utilize the newer NG911 data.
Roads geocoder – no offset (points are right on road segment)
REST URL:
http://arcgisserver.maine.gov/arcgis/rest/services/NG911_Rds_Locator_NoOffset/GeocodeServer
Roads geocoder – standard offset (points not on the road but off to the side)
REST URL:
http://arcgisserver.maine.gov/arcgis/rest/services/NG911_Rds_Locator/GeocodeServer
Points geocoder – NEW, based on the NG911 point-addressing project. Data are not complete, so if you use this, it should be a first-pass thing, with non-matching records passed to the roads locator)
REST URL:
http://arcgisserver.maine.gov/arcgis/rest/services/NG911_Pts_Locator/GeocodeServer
These are also available as geocoders in ArcGIS Online.
If you use the E911 geocoders you will want to replace them with these.
