Flu Shot Clinic Coming to URock This Wednesday!

The Knox County Clinic will provide free onsite flu shots at URock on Wednesday, Jan 15 from 3:00 – 4:00PM in room #405 for those without health insurance. Just come and roll your sleeve up!

Watch Registration Deadlines for Add-Drop

The semester is underway. Remember that if you need to drop or swap a class, you must do that within the first two weeks to avoid penalties. Schedule an advising appointment asap through the URock front office if you are considering schedule changes.

Please check your Maine Street account for any messages related to billing information and financial aid. This is important!

Career and Money Management Workshops at URock

Linda Buckmaster of Women, Work and Community (596-2615) will be hosting some career and money management sessions at URock starting in January.

The Knox County Family Development Account (FDA) for Education – Wednesday, January 29 from 3:00 – 4:00PM. In this session you will learn about a matched savings program that allows you to save money for college. For every $1 you save, the program matches it with $4 for school costs. Individual Career and Money Consulting: On Wednesdays, January 22 and February 5 from 11AM to 1PM, Buckmaster will meet individually with students to answer money questions and concerns. Get help with: deciding on a career that meets interests and financial needs; writing a resume and cover letter; job search techniques; managing money while on financial aid; and, how to apply for a Family Development Account. Proctored Test Times for the Spring Term

URock will hold proctored test times on Tuesdays from 8 – 11AM and on Fridays from 4 – 7PM. You must call ahead to schedule your test and remember to bring your photo ID!

URock will be Closed on Martin Luther King Day

On Monday, 1/20 University College at Rockland will be closed in observance of the Martin Luther King Holiday. There are no classes.

It has been an active season so far.  URock posts messages instantly on its webpage about any delays or course cancellations. You will also find information on TV channels 6, 8 and 13 or on the URock office message machine.

Get Help with Your FAFSA Now!

File or renew your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)for the next cycle in 2014-2015 as soon as possible in order to qualify for the most financial aid.

Apply immediately, don’t wait until you file a tax return! Estimate the numbers and file now. Once you have filed your tax return, correct any FAFSA data, as needed. Attend an MEOC Financial Aid Workshop session at URock on the following dates for hands on help with your FAFSA:
