The Form 471 window is now officially open. The Form 471 filing window is 12 Noon EST January 9, 2014 - 11:59 PM EDT March 26, 2014. If you only apply for E-Rate funding through Networkmaine (not directly with USAC): This filing window does not apply to you as Networkmaine will file a Form 471 for Internet and transport services for its consortium members. Note that Networkmaine is currently holding its own enrollment process for these consortium services. Networkmaine E-Rate enrollment paperwork is due by January 17th. If you intend to file for E-Rate for other eligible products and services or if you are not a member of Networkmaine: This Form 471 filing window affects you. Start now and avoid the rush. Remember that you must wait 28 days after the Form 470 is posted to the USAC website or you issue any RFPs before you can close your competitive bidding process, select a service provider, sign a contract, and submit a Form 471.
