Register! Register! NOW!

Many returning students are still not registered for the spring semester. The university will be canceling some low enrolled courses EARLY. If you wait to register, the course you want may be gone! All URock course and registration information is available online. If you are a returning student, use self-service in Maine Street with no payment due. New students may also register without payment with assistance from URock staff. Schedule an advising appointment asap through the URock front office and get your schedule planned before the holidays.

Resume Writing Workshop – Dec 11

Learn to create an effective resume or improve the one you already have. On December 11 from 1:00 – 2:30PM Haley Brown will go over the nuts and bolts of effective resumes and cover letters. No need to preregister.

Info On Allied Health Programs from UMFK Dec 12

Even though UMFK seems many miles away, its courses and degree programs are available to our URock students through distance education technologies. Join us for a program information session with UMFK faculty on December 12 from 4:00 -5:00PM to learn more about fully online programs in Allied Health, Health Info Technology, the RN-to-BSN, Healthcare Administration, and a Certificate in Health Care Management. Preregistration encouraged but not necessary.

MACBETH Rescheduled at the Strand

MACBETH has been rescheduled for TUESDAY, December 17th (2pm OR 7pm) at The Strand in Rockland! Each URock student is entitled to one free ticket. You may still sign up for your ticket at the UROCK office!  (Sponsored by the UROCK Student Association.)

Get Ready for Storm Cancellations

URock posts messages instantly on its webpage about any delays or course cancellations. In addition, you will find information on TV channels 6, 8 and 13 or on the URock office message machine.

New Student Orientations

New students are urged to attend one of the New Student Orientation programs on either Tuesday, January 7 from 9:30AM to noon or Wednesday, January 8 from 4:30 to 7:00PM at URock. This is a good time to meet new friends, learn about university technologies, library services, how to read a syllabus and more. Sign up for one of the dates at the URock front office.

Drop-In Technology Support

There is Tech Support help onsite in the computer lab every Tuesday from 2:30 – 3:30PM with student, Dan Osier. No question is too big or too small. Try to stump Dan! Drop-ins welcome!

Schedule Your Proctored Test Times

If you need to take an exam other than during its regular class time, you will need to schedule your test through the URock front office. Our testing hours through the fall will be Tuesdays 8:00 – 11:00AM and Fridays, 4:00 – 7:00PM. A photo ID is required and, in many cases, instructor permission.
