*Register! Register! NOW!*

If you wait to register, the course you want may be gone! All URock course
and registration information is available
online<http://learn.maine.edu/rockland/courses-and-programs/spring-registration-dates-ums-campuses/>.
If you are a returning student, use self-service in Maine Street with no
payment due through January 3. New students may also register without
payment through January 3 with assistance from URock staff. Schedule an
advising appointment asap through the URock front
office<[log in to unmask]>and get your schedule planned before the
holidays.

*URock Holiday and Semester Break Hours*

Starting today, December 26, the URock office will be open from 8AM – 5PM
through Friday, January 10 with the exception of January 1 when we will be
closed for the holiday. On Monday, January 13, the starting day of the
spring term, we will resume our normal extended hours. For advising help

*Proctored Test Times – Revised*

We are still trying to finish up the fall term! URock will schedule
proctored test times on Friday, Dec 27 from 9AM to noon and from 1- 4PM.
Please call ahead to schedule and remember to bring your photo ID!

*Placement Tests Before Semester Start Up*

We have added and adjusted our placement tests times before January classes
begin on 1/13. We will offer the placement test:  Monday, 12/30 at 1PM;
Tuesday, 12/31 at 9AM; Monday, 1/6 at 9AM; and, Tuesday, 1/7 at 1PM. Please
call ahead to reserve your seat.

*URock Coffee House – Jan 9*

Over the semester break the URock SA will be holding a “coffee house” on
Thursday, January 9 from 6:00 – 8:00PM. Enjoy some quiet, informal
conversation time with good coffee and good friends. URock student, Jake
Nagy, will play some acoustic music. The URock environment will otherwise
be quiet (no classes). Mark your calendar!

*Heads Up! Flu Shot Clinic Coming!*

The Knox County Clinic will provide *free* onsite flu shots here at URock
sometime during the first two weeks of school. Stay tuned for more info.

*Are You Ready for Storm Cancellations?*

It has been an active season so far.  URock posts messages instantly on its
webpage about any delays or course cancellations. You will also find
information on TV channels 6, 8 and 13 or on the URock office message
machine.

*New Student Orientations*

New students are urged to attend one of the New Student Orientation
programs on either Tuesday, January 7 from 9:30AM to noon or Wednesday,
January 8 from 4:30 to 7:00PM at URock. This is a good time to meet new
friends, learn about university technologies, library services, how to read
a syllabus and more. Sign up for one of the dates at the URock front office.

*URock Sweats and Tees  – More Styles and Colors*

Check out the styles and colors of URock sweatshirts, sweatpants, T-shirts,
long sleeved shirts and more. There’s lots of new designs.
