Register! Register! NOW!

If you wait to register, the course you want may be gone! All URock course and registration information is available online. If you are a returning student, use self-service in Maine Street with no payment due until Jan 3. New students may also register without payment until January 3 with assistance from URock staff. Schedule an advising appointment asap through the URock front office and get your schedule planned before the holidays.

MACBETH Tues Dec 17 at the Strand

MACBETH has been rescheduled for TOMORROW, TUESDAY, December 17th (2pm OR 7pm) at The Strand in Rockland! Each URock student is entitled to one free ticket. Pick up your tickets at the Strand’s Will-Call booth before the show.  (Sponsored by the UROCK Student Association.) If you are not able to attend, please notify URock so we do not buy your ticket!

Book Buy Back Dec 19

Staff from the UMA Bookstore will be at URock on Thursday, December 19 to purchase back used books. Click here to find out policies and how to get the best value for your books, including a price estimator!

Food for Finals

The URock Student Association will provide pizza from Rockland’s Slice Tues Dec 17 through Monday Dec 23 to sustain you through finals’ week!

URock Holiday and Semester Break Hours

URock will be closed December 24 & 25. Starting Thursday, December 26, the URock office will be open from 8AM – 5PM through Friday, January 10. On Monday, January 13, the starting day of the spring term we will resume our normal extended hours.

Proctored Test Times

URock will schedule proctored test times as follows to finish out the fall term: Tuesday, Dec 17, 8 – 11AM; Friday, December 20, 4 – 7PM; Monday, Dec 23 4 – 7PM; and Friday, Dec 27 from 1- 4PM. Please call ahead to schedule and remember to bring your photo ID!

URock Coffee House – Jan 9

Over the semester break URock will be holding a “coffee house” on Thursday, January 9 from 6:00 – 8:00PM. Enjoy some quiet, informal conversation time with good friends and fellow students. URock student Jake Nagy will play some acoustic music. URock will be quiet (no classes). Mark your calendar!

Get Ready for Storm Cancellations

URock posts messages instantly on its webpage about any delays or course cancellations. In addition, you will find information on TV channels 6, 8 and 13 or on the URock office message machine.

New Student Orientations

New students are urged to attend one of the New Student Orientation programs on either Tuesday, January 7 from 9:30AM to noon or Wednesday, January 8 from 4:30 to 7:00PM at URock. This is a good time to meet new friends, learn about university technologies, library services, how to read a syllabus and more. Sign up for one of the dates at the URock front office.

URock Sweats and Tees  – Great for the Holidays!

Check out the styles and colors of URock sweatshirts, sweatpants, T-shirts, long sleeved shirts and more. There’s lots of new designs. These make great holiday gifts!
