*Raise awareness!*

October is *Domestic Violence Awareness* month. *New Hope for
Women*<http://www.newhopeforwomen.org/>offers support to people in
Sagadahoc, Lincoln, Knox and Waldo Counties
affected by domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking, and provides
educational resources to assist our communities in creating a safer and
healthier future. *Family Crisis Services*
<http://www.familycrisis.org/>offers a similar array of services in
Cumberland County.

*Attend a student association meeting*

The next meeting of the MCHE Student Association will be from *noon to 1
p.m. *on Wednesday,* 10/9/13*. All UCBB students are welcome. Please email Lisa

*Scare yourself at the Bath AutumnFest*

How can you resist an event that includes scarecrows, crafts, fashion,
zumba, a 5K race and Citizen Involvement Day?

The Maine Centers for Women, Work, and Community is offering a 24-hour

Your Future: Career Planning for the New

to examine work values and interests, identify transferable skills,
and explore earning potential. Participants learn about local projected
growth industries and identify the skills, education, and training needed
to achieve your career goals. Assistance with resume building and job
seeking will also be provided. The class meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays

We are searching for volunteers to help with the *annual pie sale *scholarship
fundraiser. Sale dates: *10/10-10/28*. Pick-up pies: *11/7* @ 3 pm. The
hand-crafted in Maine, frozen pies are perfect for your holiday table and
even better as a gift! Selling is fun and easy and a great way to connect

unconfirmed rumors of a *10/10* pie tasting event in the lobby!

*Mental Illness Awareness

stigma associated with mental illness. The week coincides with *National

A three-session *Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)

held at the Midcoast Center for Higher Education on Tuesday,
*10/22*, Thursday, *10/24*, and Tuesday, *10/29*, from *2 to 3:30 pm*. The
workshop is designed to help an individual learn more about his or her
personality and learning style, discover the role of personality in the
career planning process, and explore the relationship between personality
type and career satisfaction. The workshop is open to students and the

limited.

the region. All clinics are first-come, first-served. Vaccine
