The Maine Office of GIS is pleased to announce the availability of new County Commissioners districts based on the 2013 reapportionment passed into law this Spring (2013 PL 270). The legislation will become effective October 9, 2013. The data reflect what is currently written in the statute, but may be subject to minor changes this Fall when the Secretary of State provides spatial data back to the Legislature for approval. The data are available on the MEGIS data catalog (www.maine.gov/megis<http://www.maine.gov/megis>) and for state employees it is in the GISVIEW enterprise database. =============================== Michael Smith MS GISP State GIS Manager, Maine Office of GIS State of Maine, Office of Information Technology michael.smith _at_ maine.gov 207-215-5530 Board Member, Maine GeoLibrary Education Chair, Maine GIS Users Group State Rep, National States Geographic Information Council [cid:image001.jpg@01CEB85A.74D18A60] State House Station 145 51 Commerce Drive Augusta, ME 04333-0145 69o 47' 58.9"W 44o 21' 54.8"N ----------------------------------------------------------------------- This list Maine GeoNews (GEOLIBRARY-L) is an unmoderated discussion list for all Maine GIS Users.
