Graduation 2013
Congratulations to URock’s 64 graduates in the Class of 2013! The local URock celebration will be held Saturday, May 4 at 4:00PM. It is a way to celebrate with speeches, awards and gifts amongst familiar friends, faculty and staff. We are honored that our keynote speaker will be the Chancellor of the University of Maine System, James Page. Summer and Fall Course Registration Is Open NOW
Registration is open for summer and fall classes. Registration dates for all the campuses are posted. Use the Distance Learning Class Search for the most comprehensive information about all UMS course offerings of all types at URock. Choose courses now so you do not lose a seat in class! Remember to check your financial aid in Maine Street and adjust your credit hours based on what you expect to take; otherwise, your aid will not post to your student account. Schedule Proctored Testing
Please remember that if you need to take an exam other than its regularly scheduled time, you will need to schedule through the URock front office. Proctored times are Tuesdays at 8AM or Friday at 4PM. A photo ID is required.

URock Boston Trip – Saturday, May 18
The URock Student Association is sponsoring a bus trip to Boston on Saturday, May 18th, departing URock at 7:00AM. Students will choose a ticket for either the Museum of Science or the Museum of Fine Arts. Students are free; guests will pay $25 which includes the ticket to one of the museums. This will be a full day of fun and adventure! The bus will arrive back at URock at about 11:30PM. Please watch bulletin boards for more information. Sign up is necessary!!
Drop In Technology Support – Every Thursdays from 12 noon – 1:30
Ask any of your technology questions at an informal drop in session in the computer lab every Thursday from noon to 1:30PM. No question is too small or too big. No need to register in advance.
File Your FAFSA ASAP!
It is time to file your next FAFSA which will fund courses for next summer, fall and spring 2014. The earlier you apply, the more aid you may get. Don’t wait until your tax returns is filed. Writing Tutoring Center
Need help creating a thesis, citing a source, or punctuating a sentence? The UMA Writing Center offers these and other tutoring services to distance learners at UC by phone, email, and videochat. Work on campus or from home. Call (207) 621-3199 to access tutors Monday – Thursday, 9-4. Email [log in to unmask] with an attached essay for feedback within 48 hours.
