With the release of the 2’ contours comes the obvious question – when is the rest of the state done?

This is where we need your help.  There currently isn’t any dedicated funding stream to purchase lidar for the rest of Maine.  We hope to fund a project to finish York and Cumberland counties this Fall.  But if you find the data useful, we need you to tell that to your elected officials, most of whom will have no idea what the word ‘lidar’ means, much less why they should shell our $6M to finish the state.  Otherwise it will continue to be piecemeal as funding allows.
