*Join Us for Pizza Monday to Celebrate the Career of Kathleen Fox*

On Monday, December 10th from noon to 1:00PM, join us for pizza in room
#403 as we wish Kathleen Fox well on her next life adventures! We will miss
her!

*Interested in Attending the Nutcracker at the Strand?*

The URock Student Association is willing to sponsor students and one guest
to attend the live HD performance of the Royal Ballet’s
Nutcracker<http://www.rocklandstrand.com/event/nutcracker>at
Rockland’s Strand at 3:00PM. We are waiting to hear from the Strand
about ticket availability. However, if you are interested, leave your name
and number at the URock front desk and we will be in touch.

*Book Buy Back*

Mark your calendars for book buy back on Thursday, December 20th from 3:30
– 6:30PM.

*Toys for Tots! Please Contribute*

There is a collection bin in the student lounge for *Toys for
Tots*contributions. Please consider donating a new but unwrapped toy
to a child.

*Interested in an Independent Study Focused on the Camden Conference?*

This year’s Camden
Conference<http://www.camdenconference.org/2013-conference/2013-conference-program/>topic
is “The Middle East: What’s Next?”. History faculty member, Peter
Lodge, has designed an independent study 3-credit 300-level HTY course for
students interested in prepping for, attending and then debriefing the
Conference. There will be several small group meetings, readings and
*free*conference attendance on February 22, 23 & 24. There are a few
seats left.

*Math Leadership Certificate Starting in January*

Given the strong response to the information session regarding this certificate
program<http://learn.maine.edu/rockland/news/graduate-math-leadership-program-coming-urock/>,
the first course will start at URock this spring semester from the
University of Maine at Farmington. If you wish to learn more, materials are
available from the URock front desk.

*Planning to Graduate in December?*

Please remember to apply to

expect to be finished with your degree requirements at the end of
this fall term.

*URock’s New Photocopier*

URock has new photocopy equipment outside the main office. For information

*Proctored Test Times*

This fall the URock proctored test times will be Tuesday at 8:00AM or
Fridays at 4:00PM. You must call the URock office to schedule your test so
that we have it ready for you. In some cases you will also need an email
permission from your faculty member so please get that ahead of time. Also,
remember that a photo ID is required in order for you to take a test.

We have new URock sweatshirts and sweatpants offered through the UMA
bookstore. Check out the bright, new colors in the front office. In
addition, KDK Apparel Printing and Embroidery (owned by a former URock
