Because you can never have too much orthoimagery...

MEGIS and the Maine GeoLibrary Board are pleased to announce the release of the 24" color and color-infrared orthoimagery for York and Cumberland Counties from 2012. This, combined with the 6" and 3" previously made available, covers all of York and Cumberland Counties, plus a few adjacent towns. The data are available as an OGC-compliant web mapping service (WMS) and in the MEGIS orthoviewer for downloading JPEG2000-compressed tiles. For ArcGIS and Google Earth users we have made convenient LYR and KML files available on the MEGIS data catalog. Others will need to follow the directions in their software on consuming WMS. See www.maine.gov/megis<http://www.maine.gov/megis> for more details.

MEGIS and the City of Rockland are making available an April 2007 aerial flight for Rockland. This is a 6" orthoimagery collect with photo scale 1"=660'. All imagery captured April 21, 2007. This is also available in the data catalog as LYR and KML files which connect to the WMS. JPEG2000 tiles can be downloaded from the orthoimagery viewer.

Happy mapping!
