Support your local Student Association!

The first meeting of the MCHE Student Association is scheduled for Tuesday, 10/16 from noon to 1 pm in Room 120. All students are invited and encouraged to attend. This is a terrific opportunity to help build community and set the direction for spending student activity fee dollars. Please contact Lisa Whitney if you plan to attend.

Welcome the Mobile Veterans Van!

On Monday, 10/22 10 am to 1:30 pm UCBB will host the Mobile Veterans Van and a Veterans Resource Fair. This is a perfect opportunity to learn about and connect with services for veterans! Please help us share the word with veterans throughout our region!

Thinking about grad school?

Get the inside scoop on grad school by attending a panel presentation on Monday, 10/29, noon to 1 pm. Current graduate school students, alumni, and an admissions counselor will discuss their experiences and answer your questions! Get a plan!

Creating Your Future: Career Planning for Today’s Economy is an intensive career development opportunity offered at no cost by Women, Work and Community. The class meets on the new SMCC Campus in Brunswick on Mondays and Wednesdays, from 9 am to 1 pm, starting 10/29 and ending 11/19. Participants will meet employers and education providers, create an effective resume, learn the techniques for self-marketing, and create a plan to achieve career goals! Seek out a tutor!

Please help us welcome Wendy Wright, our newest member of our incredibly talented tutoring staff. Wendy serves as a computer tutor and is available on Mondays, 4 to 6 pm in Room 115.

Recycle your old cell phone!

Keep your phone out of the waste stream and help our troops call home! The Cell Phone for Soldiers donation box is located across from Room 108. Used mobile phones from all service providers are accepted. The donated cell phones are either recycled or refurbished. Each donated device will provide troops with 2.5 hours of free talk time.

Schedule an exam

Fall semester exam proctoring times for make-up exams, exams for online classes and special exams. If you have permission to take an exam at an alternate time or if you would like to schedule a time to take a proctored exam for an online class, contact the Business Office at 442-7736.

Register to vote!

Complete a voter registration card at your town office or city hall to register to vote in the 11/6 election! Get the 411 on voting: http://www.vote411.org/

Meet-up with a tutor!

Make plans now to work with one of our writing, math, biology or computer tutors. Connecting with a tutor is the perfect first step for a successful semester!
