Beverly Bayer’s Retirement Party a Great Success!

About 100 people attended the retirement party for Beverly Bayer on August 17th. It was a wonderful tribute to Beverly as well as a great reunion of faculty, staff and students. Enjoy this video slide show of the event.

Summer URock Student Art Exhibit Continues

Enjoy the watercolor paintings by URock students in Seth Lester’s summer art class now on display at Jensen’s Pharmacy, 1st floor of the Breakwater Building. Enjoy a slide show of their art opening here.

Final Summer Proctored Test Times

The last few test times for summer 2012 are as follows: Tuesday, August 21 at 8AM; Thursday, August 23 at 1PM; and, Tuesday, August 28 at 8AM. Be sure to call ahead to the URock office to sign up for the test so we have the test ready for you. Remember, you may need instructor’s permission and bring your picture ID.

Fall Registration Ongoing

Do not delay your fall course registration. Save your seat before more classes fill. Please remember to continue to check your Maine Street account for financial aid information, ‘To Do’s’ and more. If you have any questions, please call the URock office at 596-6906. Registration and add-drop continue through the first two weeks of classes. The fall term begins Tuesday, September 4.

Have Your Textbooks Delivered to URock – Save $$

If you order your textbooks through UMA’s bookstore by August 24th, for a fee of just $2 they will be delivered to URock the following week. This saves you lots in shipping costs.

New Student Orientation Dates

Our New Student Orientation Programming will be held on Tuesday, August 28th at 10AM or on Wednesday, August 29 at 4:30PM. New students will choose one of these sessions to hear from a panel of current students, get help with new technologies, sign up for a library and a student ID card and lots more. Please register for a session through the front office.

Farnsworth Passes!

The URock SA buys two passes to the Farnsworth Museum each year. Passes may be checked out at the URock front desk for 24 hours by URock students. Enjoy all the Farnsworth has to offer this summer including Impressionist Summers: Frank W. Benson’s North Haven. Don’t miss it!

Accept Your Financial Aid!

Financial aid awards are appearing on Maine Street. Please log in and accept your financial aid package and be sure your enrollment matches the number of credit hours you are planning to take.

URock Apparel

We have new URock sweatshirts and sweatpants offered through the UMA bookstore. Check out the bright, new colors in the front office. In addition, KDK Apparel Printing and Embroidery (owned by a former URock student) has created a new catalog of URock clothing and items. From fleece vests to yoga pants and T-shirts, there’s lots of fun items at good prices.
