*Register Without Payment Through August 14 for Fall Classes!*

Do not delay your fall course registration. Now is the time to register
while there is no payment or proof of financial aid due. Save your seat
before classes fill. Starting August 15th, payment or a posted financial
aid award will be needed to get into your classes. If you are already
registered, you can continue with self-service functions in Maine Street
beyond August 15th; otherwise, you will need staff assistance.

*See You at the Retirement Party for Beverly Bayer Friday, Aug 17*

URock will host a retirement party for Bev Bayer on Friday, August 17 at
4:00PM. Please stop by the reception and wish Bev well and thanks for her
20+ year career with the university. Enjoy good food and good company.

*Summer URock Student Art Show Opens Monday, August 13*

Enjoy the watercolor paintings by URock students in Seth Lester’s summer
art class. The student art exhibit opens Monday, August 13th at 4:00PM at
Jensen’s Pharmacy, 1st floor of the Breakwater Building. Light refreshments
will be served.

*Have Your Textbooks Delivered to URock*

If you order your textbooks through UMA’s
bookstore<http://www.umabookstore.com/>by August 24th, for a fee of
just $2 they will be delivered to URock the
following week. This saves you lots in shipping costs.

*CIS 220 with Mark Goodridge – Challenging and Fun!*

On Thursdays at 4:00PM, Mark Goodridge, full-time faculty member at UMA
will teach CIS 220, Information Technology Hardware and Software Systems.
This course provides in-depth coverage of computer, network and operating
systems principles. Students will be working hands-on with computer
hardware, software, and building a computer from scratch – always fun.

*New Student Orientation Dates*

Our New Student Orientation Programming will be held on Tuesday, August
28th at 10AM or on Wednesday, August 29 at 4:30PM. New students will choose
one of these sessions to hear from a panel of current students, get help
with new technologies, sign up for a library and a student ID card and lots
more. Please register for a session through the front office.

*Farnsworth Passes!*

The URock SA buys two passes to the Farnsworth Museum each year. Passes may
be checked out at the URock front desk for 24 hours by URock students.

*Proctored Test Times for Summer 2012*

Proctored test times during the summer are on Tuesdays from 8:00 – 11:00AM
and Thursdays from 4:00 – 7:00PM. Be sure to call ahead to the URock office
to sign up for the test so we have the test ready for you. Remember, you
may need instructor’s permission and bring your picture ID.

Spring 2012 course papers and projects are available for pick up in the
front office. Please claim your work!

*Accept Your Financial Aid!*

Financial aid awards are appearing on Maine Street. Please log in and
accept your financial aid package and be sure your enrollment matches the
number of credit hours you are planning to take.

We have new URock sweatshirts and sweatpants offered through the UMA
bookstore. Check out the bright, new colors in the front office. In
addition, KDK Apparel Printing and Embroidery (owned by a former URock
