Do not delay your fall course registration. Now is the time to register while there is no payment or proof of financial aid due. Save your seat before classes fill. If you are a returning student, you can self-register in Maine Street. If you are a new student, call or visit the front office staff to get registered for classes.
Retirement Party for Beverly Bayer Aug 17
URock will host a retirement party for Bev Bayer on Friday, August 17 at 4:00PM. Save the date! Plan to stop by the reception and wish Bev well and thanks for her 20 year career with the university.
Summer URock Student Art Show – Aug 13
Enjoy the watercolor paintings by URock students in Seth Lester’s summer art class. The student art exhibit will open on Monday, August 13th at 4:00PM at Jensen’s Pharmacy, 1st floor of the Breakwater Building. Light refreshments will be served.
New Student Orientation Dates
Our New Student Orientation Programming will be held on Tuesday, August 28th at 10AM or on Wednesday, August 29 at 4:30PM. New students will choose one of these sessions to hear from a panel of current students, get help with new technologies, sign up for a library and a student ID card and lots more. Please register for a session through the front office.

We have replaced the one that went kerplunk! New Fall Courses in Rockland
UMA’s onsite schedule includes some new course offerings featuring talented local faculty. John Murray, an accomplished businessman, will teach BUA 223, Intro. to Management on Mondays at 9AM. Mark Goodridge, full-time faculty member at UMA will teach CIS 220, Information Technology Hardware and Systems Software on Thursdays at 4PM. Chambliss Neil who holds a PhD in Political Science from MIT will teach a new UMA course, POS 107 Introduction to International Relations on Thursdays at 1PM (can be substituted for POS (101/102). Local attorney, Rebekah Smith will teach a new upper level course, JUS 390, Advocacy and Public Policy on Tuesdays at 9AM (meets 4 times). These are exciting additions to our schedule.  Farnsworth Passes!
The URock SA buys two passes to the Farnsworth Museum each year. Passes may be checked out at the URock front desk for 24 hours by URock students. Enjoy all the Farnsworth has to offer this summer including Impressionist Summers: Frank W. Benson’s North Haven. Don’t miss it!

Proctored Test Times at URock for Summer 2012
Proctored test times during the summer are on Tuesdays from 8:00 – 11:00AM and Thursdays from 4:00 – 7:00PM. Be sure to call ahead to the URock office to sign up for the test so we have the test ready for you. Remember, you may need instructor’s permission and bring your picture ID.

Accept Your Financial Aid! Financial aid awards are appearing on Maine Street. Please log in and accept your financial aid package and be sure your enrollment matches the number of credit hours you are planning to take.

We have new URock sweatshirts and sweatpants offered through the UMA bookstore. Check out the bright, new colors in the front office. In addition, KDK Apparel Printing and Embroidery (owned by a former URock student) has created a new catalog of URock clothing and items.
