Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH  has a new position for a Spatial Database Analyst

 

The Spatial Database Analyst is responsible for the oversight of current project data, and the design, development, implementation and maintenance of a campus-wide building/space database and geographic information system (GIS). Oversees use of GIS and space data to increase effectiveness of planning, improve the efficiency of operations management, communicate with students, faculty and public communities and create an educational tool. Responsible for system and web integration of disparate data sets.

 

Qualified candidates will have experience building, integrating and managing a broad array of large-scale database systems, expertise in CAD and GIS, handling multiple assignments in a deadline driven environment, applying critical thinking and sound judgment. He/she will have excellent interpersonal, organizational, written and verbal communication skills with a commitment to sustainability and diversity.

 

Degree in computer science, geography, surveying & mapping, geometrics, GIS, or other related field of study. Courses in computer science and project management or equivalent combination of education and experience. Five or more years of experience in managing data management systems and training users on complex data systems.
