The Hancock County Higher Education Center offers *FREE peer tutoring
services *to students.  Peer tutors are students who have demonstrated a
strong knowledge of the subject areas they tutor.



HOW WILL A TUTOR HELP ME?

Tutors cannot do your homework for you and they do not re-instruct course
material, but a tutor *can*:

·         Watch you work a math problem and point out where a mistake was
made so you can re-do the problem

·         Read an essay and tell you if it seemed unorganized or unclear

·         Give suggestions on using your notes and making them better

·         Listen to you read your essay aloud so you can identify grammar
errors as you read

·         Help you improve your understanding of key concepts covered in
class





WHEN ARE TUTORS AVAILABLE?

Tutors are available by appointment or at regularly scheduled times when
