* on Wednesdays from 12:15 – 1:45 pm at the Curtis Memorial Library,
Brunswick. The series kicks off on Wednesday, *1/11* with “Musical Spelling
and Counting: A Guide to Composing by Numbers (and Letters).” On *1/18 *the
topic is “HIV AIDS: A Modern Plague”. The free lectures are held weekly
through 2/15 and are open to the public.

*, has awarded the 2012 Peace Studies scholarship to *Gwen Shatto*. She
will study Buddhism, Peace and Contemplative Traditions and will be honored
at the event.
